Micromation has a history of assisting the community as well
as the less fortunate folk, dating back many years. Here is an
abridged list of Micromation's sponsorships:-
It started with a donation of a computer to a quadriplegic home to
assist them with accounts (before the arrival of the PC),
Sponsoring a teenage football team - the "MicroStars" in Orlando, (see
the picture above)
Sponsoring the "Intercity Games" run by the Kempton Park/Tembisa MLC
for a number of years,
Sponsoring an AIDS children's home in Kensington, Johannesburg,
Sponsoring the "Miss India" pageant in Durban,
Sponsoring the annual EMRS's race day at Clairwood, in aid of staff,
Sponsoring Women's Day Commemoration,
Sponsoring
team members to compete in Extrication contests
Sponsoring a young child's (Rita Makau) education in Dawnview.
In the workplace, Micromation has encouraged many of its staff to
further their education, and has fully sponsored their technical
diplomas and courses.
Favouring a "hands-on" approach, the CEO of Micromation Systems has
spent many hours attending

The current chairman of Rotary's World Peace Committee in District
9300, having served as a member for 3 years
Previous Chairman of
"Rotary-Vounteers-in-Action Committee", having served as a member for 2
years
Previous President of the Johannesburg
East Rotary Club on two separate occasions, and committee member for 15
years,
Served as the Chairman of the Dawnview High School Governing body for 2
years, and as a member for 2 years
Current Chairman of the Dawnview West Road Closure Committee,
Served as the Chairman of the Y.M.C.A.
Tennis Section for 2 years, and many years as a committee member
